A bar graph illustrates numeric data for categories such as months, years, and regions. Each value is represented as a horizontal bar next to its category name. The vertical axis of a bar graph is categoric and the horizontal axis is numeric.
Each data series is represented by a different plot element. When several data series are represented on a bar graph, bars for different values in the same category are clustered together at the category’s name on the vertical axis.
